Download SIQ-Browser
SelectIQ exams run inside SIQ-Browser, a secure exam app for Windows. Install it once, before your exam day.
SIQ-Browser is Windows-only for now. Mac, Linux and Chromebook aren’t supported yet. Use a Windows computer, for example in your college lab.
- Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit)
- A working webcam
- Stable internet
- 1 GB free space
How to install
- 1
Download the installer
Click Download for Windows. The file SIQ-Browser-Setup-1.0.8.exe starts downloading straight away. If Chrome says the file isn’t commonly downloaded, click ⋯ and choose Keep.
- 2
Run it
Windows may show “Windows protected your PC”. This appears for new apps. Click More info, then Run anyway. No admin password is needed.
Windows protected your PC
Microsoft Defender SmartScreen prevented an unrecognised app from starting.

Wait about a minute
SIQ-Browser installs and opens by itself. You only do this once — after that it updates itself.

Open your exam
Go back to your exam in Chrome and click Open SIQ-Browser. When Chrome asks “Open SIQ-Browser?”, tick Always allow and click Open.
Before exam day
- Install and open SIQ-Browser at least a day before. Not 5 minutes before the exam.
- Charge your laptop or keep it plugged in.
- Close WhatsApp, Discord, screen recorders and remote-desktop apps. SIQ-Browser closes them anyway.
- Sit in good light, facing the camera, with nobody else in view.
- Sign in with the same account your college added you with.
Common questions
- Do I need to download it again for updates?
- No. From version 1.0.6, SIQ-Browser updates itself: it downloads new versions in the background and installs them when you close it — never during an exam. Installed an older version? Download and run the installer once more; it updates in place, and from then on updates are automatic.
- My antivirus blocked it.
- Allow SIQ-Browser in your antivirus, then run the installer again. Ask your college’s placement cell if you’re on a lab computer you can’t change.
- What does SIQ-Browser do during an exam?
- It opens your exam full-screen, blocks other apps, copy-paste and screenshots, and uses your camera for identity checks. It only runs when you open it for an exam.
- How do I remove it?
- Windows Settings → Apps → SelectIQSecureBrowser → Uninstall.
